The Unexpected Benefits of New Technology

Technology moves incredibly fast!

If you are like many people, you probably have a drawer filled with gadgets that you bought with glee just a few years ago, and which quickly became obsolete. Remember cassette tapes and VHS? They’re nearly extinct now. Remember when CDs were all the rage? Now it is becoming increasing difficult to find CD players that are not part of a computer. Technological advances can be dizzying, and nowhere is this more apparent than in the world of cell phones.

Odds are, you probably have one or two old cell phones kicking around your house or apartment right now. It’s difficult to know what to do with them. Selling them is often out of the question, since most older phones hold very little value.

However, there is an alternative to simply storing them indefinitely. You can donate old cell phones to a good Cause. Cell phone recycling gives non-profit groups another alternative to standard fundraising methods. It’s a win-win situation. You get rid of an old phone that was never going to sell and worthy non-profit organizations get the fiscal help they need.

It’s true. The swift development of new technology really does have a wide range of benefits.
